About five years ago, a medical checkup revealed a goiter on my thyroid. A goiter, characterized by swelling of the thyroid gland, can indicate various thyroid malfunctions. Despite not fully understanding the technicalities, I knew it signaled potential thyroid issues. My doctors monitored the goiter to determine its nature and implications on my health. During these assessments, particularly a blood test, they diagnosed me with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, an autoimmune condition where the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks the thyroid gland, leading to the production of antibodies against it. While this was concerning, at the time, I wasn’t experiencing significant symptoms and generally felt okay.
Fast forward to about a year ago, in October 2015, my wife Toni and I visited friends at a Renaissance Faire. Impressed by their well-being, we inquired about their secret. They credited their health to Dr. Joe Dispenza. Intrigued, we decided to explore Dr. Joe’s methods. We enrolled in an online course titled “Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself,” which included guided meditations and an accompanying book to deepen our understanding. Additionally, we read Dr. Joe’s book, “You Are the Placebo,” to get a more comprehensive grasp of his approach.
We began following the “body parts” meditation rigorously from October 2015. Our commitment involved waking up at 4 AM and dedicating time to meditations in a specially designated room. Gradually, we expanded our practice to include another meditation from Dr. Joe called “Blessing of the Energy Centers.” We incorporated both techniques into our daily routine, aiming to enhance our physical and mental well-being.
By July 2016, I underwent a routine blood test to track my thyroid health, specifically focusing on antibody levels related to Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. During a vacation in Colorado in August, I received an email from my doctor with promising results. The tests showed that my thyroid antibodies had significantly decreased. Specifically, thyroglobulin antibodies dropped from 66 to 8.9, and thyroid peroxidase antibodies reduced from 183 to 134. This marked a notable improvement in my condition, indicating that my Hashimoto’s disease was gradually being “healed.”
This significant progress brought immense joy and relief to my wife and me, often moving us to tears. We attributed this positive change to Dr. Joe Dispenza’s teachings and the dedicated meditation practices we had adopted. Reflecting on this transformative journey, we felt deeply grateful to Dr. Joe for his impactful work. We remained committed to furthering this practice, looking forward to continuing our evolution toward better health and personal growth.
